I am very excited to be able to post my contribution to wonderful Italian composer and pianist, Francesco di Fiore’s Piano Miniature “Mist” ...
“A new and welcome contribution to Miniature 2011 project. English composer Anna Ferro composed a new two pianos version of the miniature n. 46 Mist. This is a brilliant operation of rereading and enrichment: Anna composed an additional new piano part to be performed simultaneously to the original Mist. The result is outstanding, a rich harmonic coil clinging and lying down on the original tissue. Congratulations and many thanks to the brilliant composer!”

It is perhaps no surprise or secret to those of you who have followed my regular tweets since during last year that I was keenly following Francesco’s progress through his Piano Miniature Project 2011. I found Francesco’s commitment and dedication to his project, as well as the flow of beautiful pieces both for piano solo and also for four-hands piano which the project produced, brilliant and absolutely compelling and a very real inspiration, indeed the inspiration for my 2012 Project. Francesco posted a new piece each Saturday for download (both score and mp3) which made a perfect musical start to each weekend.
